Proverbs Chapter 6 20-35

My son, keep your father's commands,
and forsake not your mother's teaching.
Bind them continually upon you heart
and tie them about your neck.
When you walk, they will guide you;
when you sleep they will keep you;
when you wake, they will speak to you.
For these commands are a lamp;
and the law is light;
and the reproofs of instruction are the way of life,
to keep you from the evil woman,
from the smooth tongue of the wayward wife.
Lust not after her beauty in our heart;
neither let her captivate you with her eyes,
for the prostitute reduces you to a loaf of bread,
and the adulteress hunts for your very life.
Can a man scoop fire into his lap,
and his clothes not be burned?
Can a man walk on hot coals,
ans his feet not be burned?
So is he who sleeps with another man's wife;
no one who touches her will go unpunished.

Men do not despise a thief,
if he steals to satisfy his hunger when he is starving;
but if he is caught, he must pay sevenfold,
though it costs the wealth of his house.
But a man who commits adultery lacks judgement;
whoever does so destroys his own soul.
A wound and dishonour shall he get;
and his shame shall never be wiped away.
For jealousy is the rage of a man;
and he shall show no mercy when he takes revenge.
He will not accept any compensation;
neither will he rest content,
though you give him many gifts.
