Psalm 127

Except the LORD build the house,
they labour in vain that build it:
except the LORD keep the city,
the watchman wakes but in vain.
In vain you rise early and stay up late,
toiling for food to eat -
for he grants sleep to those he loves.
Sons are a heritage from the LORD,
children a reward from him.
Like arrows in the hands of  a warrior
are the sons born in one's youth.
Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them.
They will not be put to shame
when they contend with their enemies in the gate.

Psalm 126

When the LORD brought back the captives to Zion,
we were like men who dreamed.
Our mouths were filled with laughter,
our tongues with songs of joy.
Then it was said among the nations,
"The LORD has done great things for them."
The LORD has done great things for us,
and we are filled with joy.
Restore our fortunes, O LORD,
like the streams in the Negev.
Those who sow in tears
will reap with songs of joy.
He who goes out weeping
carrying seed to sow,
will return with songs of joy,
carrying sheaves with him.

Psalm 125

They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion,
which cannot be moved, but abides forever.
As the mountains are round about Jerusalem,
so the LORD is round about his people
from henceforth even for ever.
For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon
the lot of the righteous;
lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity.
Do good, O LORD, unto those that be good,
and to them that are upright in their hearts.
As for such as turn aside unto their crooked ways,
the LORD shall lead them forth with the workers of iniquity:
but peace shall be upon Israel.

Psalm 124

If it had not been the LORD who was on our side,
now how may Israel say;
If it had not been the LORD who was on our side,
when men rose up against us:
Then they had swallowed us up quick,
when their wrath was kindled against us:
Then the waters had overwhelmed us,
the stream had gone over our soul:
Then the proud water had gone over our soul.
Blessed  be the LORD,
who has not given us as a prey to their teeth.
Our soul is escaped as a bird
out of the snare of the fowlers:
the snare is broken, and we are escaped.
Our help is in the name of the LORD,
who made heaven and earth.

Psalm 123

Unto you I lift up my eyes, O you that dwells in the heavens.
Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hands of their masters,
and the eyes of a maiden to the hand of her mistress;
so our eyes wait upon the LORD our God,
until he has mercy on us.
Have mercy upon us, O LORD, have mercy on us:
for we are exceedingly filled with contempt.
Our soul is exceedingly filled
with the scorn of those that are at ease,
and with the contempt of the proud.

Psalm 122

I was glad when they said to me,
Let us go into the house of t he LORD.
Our feet shall stand within your gates, O Jerusalem.
Jerusalem is built as a city that is compact together:
That is where the tribes go up, the tribes of the LORD,
according to the testimony of Israel,
to give thanks to the name of the LORD.
For there are set thrones of judgement,
the thrones of the house of David.
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem;
they shall prosper that love you.
Peace be within your walls,
and prosperity within your palaces.
For my bretheren and my companions' sake,
I will now say, Peace be within you.
Because of the house of the LORD our God
I will seek your good.

Psalm 121

I will lift up my eyed to the hills,
from whence comes my help.
My help comes from the LORD,
who made heaven and earth.
He will not suffer your foot to be moved:
he that keeps you will not slumber.
Behold, he that keeps Israel
shall neither slumber nor sleep.
The LORD is your keeper:
the LORD is your shade upon your right hand.
The sun shall not smite you by day,
nor the moon by night.
The LORD shall preserve you from all evil:
he shall preserve your soul.
The LORD shall preserve your going out
and your coming from this time forth,
and even for evermore.

Psalm 120

In my distress I cried to the LORD and he heard me.
Deliver my soul, O LORD, from lying lips and a deceitful tongue.
What shall be given unto you?
or what shall be done to you, you false tongue?
Sharp arrows of the mighty, with coals of juniper.
Woe is me, that I sojourn in Mesech,
that I dwell in the tents of Kedar!
My soul has long dwelt with him that hates peace.
I am for peace: but when I speak, they are for war.

Psalm 119

Aleph
Blessed are they whose ways are blameless,
who walk according to the law of the LORD.
Blessed are they who keep his statutes and seek him with all their heart.
They do nothing wrong; they walk in his ways.
You who have laid down precepts that are to be fully obeyed.
Oh, that my ways were steadfast in obeying your decrees!
Then I would not be put to shame when I consider all your commands.
I will praise you with an upright heart as I learn your righteous laws;
I will obey your decrees; do not utterly forsake me.
Beth
How can a young man keep his way pure?
By living according to your word.
I seek you with all my heart; do not let me stray from your commands.
I have hidden your word in my heart that I may not sin against you.
Praise be to you, O LORD; teach me your decrees.
With my lips I recount all the laws that come from  your mouth.
I rejoice in following your statutes as one rejoices in great riches.
I mediate on your precepts and consider your ways.
I delight in your decrees; I will not neglect your word.
Gimel
Do good to your servant, and I will live; I will obey your word.
Open your eyes that I may see wonderful things in your law.
I am a stranger on earth; do not hide your commands from me.
My soul is consumed with longing for your laws at all times.
You rebuke the arrogant, who are cursed and who stray from your commands.
Remove me from scorn and contempt for I keep your statutes.
Though rulers sit together and slander me,
your servant will meditate on your decrees.
your statutes are my delight; they are my counsellors.
Daleth
I am laid low in the dust; preserve my life according to your word.
I recounted my ways and you answered me; teach me your decrees.
Let me understand the teaching of your precepts;
then I will meditate on your wonders.
My soul is weary with sorrow; strengthen me according to your word.
Keep me from deceitful ways; be gracious to me through your law.
I have chosen the way of truth; I have set my heart on your laws.
I hold fast to your statutes, O LORD;
do not let me to be put to shame.
I run in the path of your commands, for you have set my heart free.
He
Teach me, O LORD, to follow your decrees;
then I will keep them to the end.
Give me understanding, and I will keep your law and obey it with all my heart.
Direct me in the path of your commands, for there I find delight.
Turn my heart toward your statutes and not toward selfish gain.
Turn my eyes away from worthless things;
preserve my life according to your word.
Fulfill your promise to your servant, so that you may be feared.
Take away the disgrace I dread, for your laws are good.
How I long for your precepts!
Preserve my life in your righteousness.
Waw
May your unfailing love come to me, O LORD,
your salvation according to your promise;
then I will answer the one who taunts me, for I trust in your word.
Do not snatch the word of truth from my mouth,
for I have put my hope in your laws.
I will always obey your law for ever and ever.
I will walk about in freedom, for I have sought out your precepts.
I will speak of your statutes before kings
and will not be put to shame,
for I delight in your commands because I love them.
I lift up my hands to your commands which I love,
and meditate on your decrees.
Zayin
Remember your word to your servant, for you have given me hope.
My comfort in my suffering is this: Your promise preserves my life.
The arrogant mock me without restraint, but I do not turn from your law.
I remember your ancient laws, O LORD, and I find comfort in them.
Indignation grips me because of the wicked, who have forsaken your law.
Your decrees are the theme of my song wherever I lodge.
In the night I remember your name, O LORD, and I will keep your law.
This has been my practice: I obey your precepts.
Heth
You are my portion, O LORD; I have promised to obey your words.
I have sought your face with all my heart;
be gracious to me according to your promise.
I have considered my ways and have turned my steps to your statutes.
I will hasten and not delay to obey your commands.
Though the wicked bind me with ropes, I will not forget your law.
At midnight I rise to give you thanks for your righteous laws.
I am a friend to all who fear you, to all who follow your precepts.
The earth is filled with your love, O LORD; teach me your decrees.
Teth
Do good to your servant according to your word, O LORD.
Teach me knowledge and good judgement, for I believe in your commands.
Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I obey your word.
You are good, and what you do is good; teach me your decrees.
Though the arrogant have smeared me with lies, I keep your precepts with all my heart.
Their hearts are callous and unfeeling, but I delight in your law.
It was good for me to be afflicted so that I might learn your decrees.
The law from your mouth is more precious to me
than thousands of pieces of silver and gold.
Yodh
Your hands made me and formed me;
give me understanding to learn your commands.
May those who fear you rejoice when they see me,
for I have put my hope in your word.
I know, O LORD, that your laws are righteous,
and in faithfulness you have afflicted me.
May your unfailing love be my comfort,
according to your promise to your servant.
Let your  compassion come to me that I may live,
for your law is my delight.
May the arrogant be put to shame for wrongdoing me without cause;
but I will meditate on your precepts.
May those who fear you turn to me,
those who understand your statutes.
May my heart be blameless toward your decrees,
that I may not be put to shame.
Kaph
My soul faints with longing for your salvation,
but I have hope in your word.
My eyes fail, looking for your promise;
I say, "When will you comfort me?"
Though I am like a wineskin in the smoke,
I do not forget your decrees.
How long must your servant wait?
When will you punish my persecutors?
The arrogant dig pitfalls for me, contrary to your law.
All your commands are trustworthy;
help me, for men persecute me without cause.
They almost wiped me from the earth,
but I have not forsaken your precepts.
Preserve my life according to your love,
and I will obey the statutes of your mouth.
Lamedh
Your word, O LORD, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens.
Your faithfulness continues through all generations;
you established the earth and it endures.
Your laws endure to this day, for all things serve you.
If your law had not been my delight,
I would have perished in my affliction.
I will never forget your precepts,
for by them you have preserved my life.
Save me, for I am yours; I have sought out your precepts.
The wicked are waiting to destroy me,
but I will ponder your statutes.
To all perfection I see a limit; but your commands are boundless.
Mem
Oh, how I love your law! I meditate on it all day long.
Your commands make me wiser than my enemies,
for they are ever with me.
I have more insight than all my teachers,
for I meditate on your statutes.
I have more understanding than the elders, for I obey your precepts.
I have kept my feet from every evil path so that I might obey your word.
I have not departed from your laws, for you have taught me.
How sweet are your words to my taste,
sweeter than honey to my mouth!
I gain understanding from your precepts; therefore I hate every wrong path.
Nun
Your word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.
I have taken an oath and confirm it, that I will follow your righteous laws.
I have suffered much; preserve my life, O LORD, according to your word.
Accept, O LORD, the willing praise of my mouth, and teach me your laws.
Though I constantly take my life in my hands, I will not forget your law.
The wicked have set a snare for me, but I have not strayed from your precepts
Your statutes are my heritage forever; they are the joy of my heart.
My heart is set on keeping your decrees to the very end.
Samekh
I hate double minded men, but I love your law.
You are my refuge and my shield; I have put my hope in your word.
Away from me you evil doers, that I may keep the commands of my God!
Sustain me according to your promise, and I will live;
Uphold me and I will be delivered; I will always have regard for your decrees.
You reject all who stray from your decrees, for their deceitfulness is in vain.
All the wicked of the earth you discard like dross; therefore I love your statutes.
My flesh trembles in fear of you; I stand in awe of your laws.
Ayin
I have done what is righteous and just; do not leave me to my oppressors.
Ensure your servant's well-being; do not let the arrogant oppress me.
My eyes fail, looking for your salvation, looking for your righteous promise.
Deal with your servant according to your love and teach me your decrees.
I am your servant; give me discernment that I may understand your statutes.
It is time for you to act, O LORD; your law  is being broken.
Because I love your commands more than gold, more than pure gold,
and because I consider all your precepts right, I hate every wrong path.
Pe
Your statutes are wonderful; therefore I obey them.
The unfolding of your words gives light;
it gives understanding to the simple.
I open my mouth and pant, longing for your commands.
Turn to me and have mercy on me,
as you always do to those who love your name.
Direct your footsteps according to your word; let no sin rule over me.
Redeem me from the oppression of men, that I may obey your precepts.
Make your face shine upon your servant and teach me your decrees.
Streams of tears flow from my eyes, for your law is not obeyed.
Tsadhe
Righteous are you, O LORD, and your laws are right.
The statutes you have laid down are righteous; they are fully trustworthy.
My zeal wears me out, for my enemies ignore your words.
Your promises have been thoroughly tested, and your servant loves them.
Though I am lowly and despised, I do not forget your precepts.
Your righteousness is everlasting and your law is true.
Trouble and distress have come upon me, but your commands are my delight.
Your statutes are forever right; you give me understanding that I may live.
Qoph
I call with all my heart; answer me, O LORD,
and I will obey your decrees.
I call out to you; save me and I will keep your statutes.
I rise before dawn and cry for help; I have put my hope in your word.
My eyes stay open through the watches of the night,
that I may meditate on your promises.
Hear my voice in accordance with your love;
preserve my life, O LORD, according to your laws.
Those who devise wicked schemes are near,
but they are far from your law.
Yet you are near, O LORD, and all your commands are true.
Long ago I learned from your statutes
that you established them to last forever.
Resh
Look upon my suffering and deliver me,
for I have not forgotten your law.
Defend my cause and redeem me;
preserve my life according to your promise.
Salvation is far from the wicked,
for they do not seek out your decrees.
Your compassion is great, O LORD;
preserve my life according to your laws.
Many are the foes who persecute me,
but I have not turned from your statutes.
I look on the faithless with loathing,
for they do not obey your word.
See how I love your precepts; preserve my life,
O LORD, according to your love.
All your words are true; all your righteous laws are eternal.
Sin and Shin
Rulers persecute me without cause,
but my heart trembles at your word.
I rejoice in your promise like one who finds great spoil.
I hate and abhor falsehood but I love your law.
Seven times a day I praise you for your righteous laws.
Great peace have they who love your law,
and nothing can make them stumble.
I wait for your salvation, O LORD, and follow your commands.
I obey your statutes, for I love them greatly.
I obey your precepts and your statutes,
for all my ways are known to you.
Taw
May my cry come before you, O LORD;
give me understanding according to your word.
May my supplication come before you;
deliver me according to your promise.
May my lips overflow with praise, for you teach me your decrees.
May my tongue sing of your word, for all your commands are righteous.
May your hand be ready to help me, for I have chosen your precepts.
I long for your salvation, O LORD, and your law is my delight.
Let me live that I may praise you, and may your laws sustain me.
I have strayed like a lost sheep.
Seek your servant, for I have not forgotten your commands

Psalm 118

O give thanks to the LORD;
for he is good;
because his mercy endures forever.
Let Israel say:
His love endures forever.
Let the house of Aaron say:
His love endures forever.
Let those who fear the LORD say:
His love endures forever.
In my anguish I cried to the LORD,
and he answered by setting me free.
The LORD is with me; I will not be afraid.
What can man do to me?
The LORD is with me; he is my helper.
I will look in triumph on my enemies.
It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in man.
It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in princes.
All the nations surrounded me,
but in the name of the LORD I cut them off.
They surrounded me on every side,
but in the name of the LORD I cut them off.
They swarmed around me like bees,
but they died out as quickly as burning thorns;
in the name of the LORD I cut them off.
I was pushed back and was about to fall,
but the LORD helped me.
The LORD is my strength and song;
he has become my salvation.
Shouts of joy and victory resound in the tents of the righteous:
"The LORD'S right hand has done mighty things!
The LORD'S right hand is lifted high;
The LORD'S right hand has done mighty things!"
I will not die but live,
and will proclaim what the LORD has done.
The LORD has chastened me severely,
but he has not given me over to death.
Open for me the gates of righteousness;
I will enter and give thanks to the LORD.
This is the gate of the LORD through which the righteous may enter.
I will give you thanks for you answered me;
you have become my salvation.
The stone the builders rejected has become the capstone;
the LORD has done this , and it is marvellous in our eyes.
This is the day which the LORD has made;
let us rejoice and be glad in it.
O LORD, save us:
O LORD, grant us success.
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the LORD.
From the house of the LORD we bless you.
The LORD is God,
and he has made his light shine upon us.
With boughs in hand let us join the festal procession
up to the horns of the altar.
You are my God and I will give you thanks;
you are my God and I will exalt you.
Give thanks to the LORD for he is good;
his love endures forever.

Psalm 117

O Praise the LORD,
all ye nations:
praise him all ye people.
For his merciful kindness is great toward us:
and the truth of the LORD endures forever.
Praise ye the LORD.

Psalm 116

I love the LORD because he has heard my voice and my supplications.
Because he has inclined his ear unto me,
therefore I will call upon him as long as I live.
The sorrows of death compassed me, and the pains of hell took hold of me:
I found trouble and sorrow.
Then I called upon the name of the LORD;
O LORD, I beseech you, deliver my soul.
Gracious is the LORD, and righteous;
yes our God is merciful.
The LORD preserves the simple:
I was brought low, and he helped me.
Return to your rest, O my soul:
for the LORD has dealt bountifully with you.
For you have delivered my soul from death,
my eyes from tears, and my feet from falling.
I will walk before the LORD in the land of the living.
I believed, therefore I have spoken:
I was greatly afflicted:
I said in my haste, All men are liars.
What shall I render unto the LORD
for all his benefits toward me?
I will take the cup of salvation,
and call upon the name of the LORD.
I will pay my vows unto the LORD
now in the presence of all his people.
Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.
O LORD, truly I am your servant;
I an your servant, and the son of your handmaid;
you have loosed my bonds.
I will offer to you the sacrifice of thanksgiving,
and will call upon the name of the LORD.
I will pay my vows unto the LORD
now in the presence of all his people,
In the courts of the LORD's house,
in the midst of thee, O Jerusalem.
Praise ye the LORD.

Psalm 115

Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us,
but unto thy name give glory
for thy mercy and for thy truth's sake.
Wherefore should the heathen say,
Where is their God?
But our God id in the heavens;
he has done whatever he has pleased.
Their idols are silver and gold,
the work of men's hands.
They have mouths but they speak not:
eyes have they, but they see not:
They have ears but they see not:
noses have they, but they smell not:
They have hands, but they handle not:
neither speak they through their throat.
They that make them are like them;
so is everyone who trusts them.
O Israel, trust in the LORD:
he is their help and their shield.
O house of Aaron, trust in the LORD:
he is their help and their shield.
You that fear the LORD, trust in the LORD:
he is their help and their shield.
The LORD has been mindful of us:
he will bless us;
he will bless the house of Israel;
he will bless the house of Aaron.
He will bless them that fear the LORD,
both small and great.
The LORD shall increase you more and more,
you and your children.
You are blessed of the LORD which made heaven and earth.
The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD's:
but earth he has given to the children of men.
The dead do not praise the LORD,
neither any that go down into the silence.
But we will bless the LORD
from this time forth and forevermore.
Praise the LORD.

Psalm 114

When Israel went out of Egypt,
the house of Jacob from a people of a strange language;
Judah was his sanctuary, and Israel his dominion.
The sea saw it and fled:
Jordan was driven back.
The mountains skipped like rams,
and the little hills like lambs.
What ailed you, O sea, that you fled?
you Jordan, that you were driven back?
You mountains, that you skipped like rams;
and you little hills, like lambs?
Tremble, you earth, at the presence of the Lord,
at the presence of the God of Jacob;
Who turned the rock into a standing water,
the flint into a fountain of waters.

Psalm 113

Praise ye the LORD.
Praise, O ye servants of the LORD,
praise the name of the LORD.
Blessed be the name of the LORD
from this time forth and forevermore.
From the rising of the sun to the going down of the same
the LORD's name is to be praised.
The LORD high above all nations,
and his glory above the heavens.
Who is like unto the LORD our God,
who dwells on high,
who humbles himself to behold the things
that are in heaven and upon the earth!
He raises up the poor out of the dust,
and lifts the needy out of the dunghill;
That he may set him with princes,
even the princes of his people.
He makes the barren woman to keep house,
and to be a joyful mother of children.
Praise ye the LORD.

Psalm 112

Praise ye the LORD.
Blessed be the man that fears the LORD,
that delights greatly in his commandments.
His seed shall be mighty upon the earth:
the generation of the upright shall be blessed.
Wealth and riches shall be in his house:
and his righteousness shall endure forever.
Unto the upright there arises light in the darkness:
he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.
A good man shows favour and lends:
he will guide his affairs with discretion.
Surely he shall not be moved for ever:
the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.
He shall not be afraid of evil tidings:
his heart is fixed , trusting in the LORD.
His heart is established, he shall not be afraid,
until he sees his desire upon his enemies.
He has dispersed, he has given to the poor:
his righteousness endures forever:
his horn shall be exalted with honour.
The wicked shall see it, and be grieved:
he shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away:
the desire of the wicked shall perish.

Psalm 111

I will extol the LORD with all my heart,
in the council of the upright and in the assembly.
Great are the works of the LORD;
they are pondered by all who delight in them.
Glorious and majestic are his deeds,
and his righteousness endures forever.
He has caused his wonders to be remembered;
the LORD is gracious and compassionate.
He provides food for those who fear him;
he remembers his covenant forever.
He has shown his people the power of his works,
giving them the lands of other nations.
The works of his hands are faithful and just;
all his precepts are trustworthy.
They are steadfast for ever and ever,
done in faithfulness and uprightness.
He provided redemption for his people;
he ordained his covenant forever-
holy and awesome is his name.
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom;
all who follow his precepts have good understanding.
To him belongs eternal praise.

Psalm 110

The LORD said unto my Lord,
Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies your footstool.
The LORD shall send the rod of your strength out of Zion:
you will rule in the midst of your enemies.
Your troops will be willing on the day of battle.
Arrayed in holy majesty,
from the womb of the dawn you will receive the dew of your youth.
The LORD has sworn, and will not repent,
you are priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.
The Lord at your right hand shall strike through kings
in the day of his wrath.
He shall judge among the heathen,
he shall fill the places with the dead bodies;
he shall wound the heads over many countries.
He shall drink of the brook in the way,
therefore he will lift up his head.

Psalm 109

Hold not thy peace, O God of my praise;
For the mouth of the wicked and the mouth
of the deceitful are opened against me:
they have spoken against me with a lying tongue.
They compassed me about also with words of hatred;
and fought against me without a cause.
For my love they are my adversaries:
but I give myself unto prayer.
And they have rewarded me evil for good,
and hatred for my love.
Set thou a wicked man over him:
and let Satan stand at his right hand.
When he shall be judged, let him be condemned:
and let his prayer become sin.
Let his days be few;
and let another take his office.
Let his children become fatherless,
and his wife be a widow.
Let his children continually be vagabonds,
and beg: let them seek their bread also
out of their desolate places.
Let the extortioner catch all that he has:
and let the strangers spoil his labour.
Let there be none to extend mercy to him:
neither let there be any to favour his fatherless children.
Let his prosperity be cut off;
and in the generation following let their name be blotted out.
Le the iniquity of his fathers be remembered with the LORD;
and let not the sin of his mother be blotted out.
Le them be before the LORD continually, that he may
cut off the memory of them from the earth.
Because that he remembered not to show mercy,
but persecuted the poor and needy man,
that he might even slay the broken in heart.
As he loved cursing, so let it come unto him:
as he delighted not in blessing, so let it be far from him.
As he clothed himself with cursing like as with his garment,
so let it come into his bowels like water, and like oil into his bones.
Let it be to him like a garment which covers him,
and a girdle with which he is girded continually.
Let this be the reward of my adversaries from the LORD,
and of them that seek evil against my soul.
But do thou for me, O God the LORD,
for thy name's sake;
because thy mercy is good, deliver me.
For I am poor and needy and my heart is wounded within me.
I am gone like the shadow when it declines:
I am tossed up and down like the locust.
My knees are weak through fasting;
and my flesh fails of fatness.
I became a reproach to them:
when they looked upon me they shook their heads.
Help me, O LORD my God: save me according to thy mercy:
that they may know that this is your hand, that you LORD have done it.
Let them curse, but bless you: when they arise, let them be ashamed;
but let your servant rejoice.
Let my adversaries be clothed with shame,
and let them cover themselves with their own confusion, as with a mantle.
I will greatly praise the LORD with my mouth,
yes, I will praise him among the multitude.
For he will stand at the right hand of the poor,
to save him from those who condemn his soul.

Psalm 108

O God, my heart is fixed: I will sing and give praise,
even with my glory.
Awake psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early.
I will praise thee, O LORD, among the people:
and I will sing praises  unto thee among the nations.
For thy mercy is great above the heavens,
and thy truth reaches to the clouds.
Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens,
and they glory above all the earth;
That thy beloved may be delivered:
save with thy right hand and answer me.
God has spoken in his holiness;
I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem,
and mete out the valley of Succoth.
Gillead is mine; Manasseh is mine;
Ephraim also is the strength of my head;
Judah is my lawgiver;
Moab is my washpot; over Edom will I cast out my shoe;
over Philistia will I triumph.
Who will bring me into the strong city?
who will lead me into Edom?
Will not you, O God, who cast us off?
and will not you, O God, go forth with our hosts?
Give us help from trouble:
for vain is the help of man.
Through God we shall do valiantly:
for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.

Psalm 107

Give thanks to the LORD for he is good:
his mercy endures forever.
Let the redeemed of the LORD say so
whom he has redeemed from the hand of the enemy;
and gathered them out of the lands,
from the east ans from the west,
from the north and from the south.
They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way;
they found no city to dwell in.
Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them.
Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble,
and he delivered them out of their distress.
And he led them forth by the right way,
that they might go to a city of habitation.
Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness,
and for his wonderful works for the children of men!
For he satisfies the longing soul with goodness.
Such as sit in darkness and in the shadow of death,
being bound in affliction and iron;
Because they rebelled against the words of God,
and contemned the counsel of the most High:
Therefore he brought down their heart with labour;
they fell down, and there was no one to help.
Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble,
and he saved them out of their distresses.
He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death,
and broke their bands in sunder.
Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness,
and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
For he has broken the gates of brass
and cut the bars of iron in sunder.
Fools because of their transgression,
and because of their iniquities, are afflicted.
Their soul abhors all manner of meat;
and they draw neat to the gates of death.
Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble,
and he saves them out of their distresses.
He sent his word and healed them,
and delivered them from their destructions.
Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness
and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving
and declare his works with rejoicing.
They that go down to the sea in ships,
they that do business in great waters;
These see the works of  the LORD,
and his wonders in the deep.
For he commands, and raises the stormy wind,
which lifts up the waves.
They mount up to the heaven,
they go down to the depths;
their soul is melted because of  trouble.
They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man,
and are at their wits' end.
Then they cry unto the the LORD in their trouble,
and he brings them out of their distresses.
He makes the storm a calm,
so that the waves, thereof are still.
Then they are glad because they be quiet;
so he brings them to their desired haven.
Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness,
and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
Let them exalt him also in the congregation of the people,
and praise him in the assembly of the elders.
He turns rivers into a wilderness,
and the watersprings into dry ground;
a fruitful land into barrenness,
for the wickedness of them that dwell therein.
He turns the wilderness into a standing water
and dry ground into watersprings.
And there he makes the hungry to dwell,
that they may prepare a city  for habitation;
and sow the fields, and plant vineyards,
which may yield fruits of increase.
He blesses them also, so that they are multiplied greatly;
and suffer not their cattle to decrease.
Again, they are minished and brought low through
oppression, affliction and sorrow.
He pours contempt upon princes, and causes
them to wander in the wilderness, where there is no way.
Yet he sets the poor on high from affliction,
and makes him families like a flock.
The righteous shall see it and rejoice;
and all iniquity shall stop her mouth.
Whoever is wise will observe these things,
even they shall understand the lovingkindness of the LORD.

Psalm 106

 Praise ye the LORD.

O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good:
for his mercy endures for ever.
 Who can utter the mighty acts of the LORD?

Who can show forth all his praise?
 Blessed are they that keep judgment,

and he that does right at all times.
 Remember me, O LORD,

with the favor that thou bear unto thy people:
O visit me with thy salvation;
 that I may see the good of thy chosen,

that I may rejoice in the gladness of thy nation,
that I may glory with thine inheritance.
 We have sinned with our fathers,

we have committed iniquity,
we have done wickedly.
 Our fathers understood not thy wonders in Egypt;

they remembered not the multitude of thy mercies;
but provoked him at the sea,
even at the Red sea.
 Nevertheless he saved them for his name's sake,

that he might make his mighty power to be known.
 He rebuked the Red sea also,

and it was dried up:
so he led them through the depths,
as through the wilderness.
 And he saved them from the hand of him that hated them,

and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.
 And the waters covered their enemies:

there was not one of them left.
 Then believed they his words;

they sang his praise.
 They soon forgot his works;

they waited not for his counsel:
 but lusted exceedingly in the wilderness,

and tempted God in the desert.

And he gave them their request;

but sent leanness into their soul.
 They envied Moses also in the camp,

and Aaron the saint of the LORD.
 The earth opened and swallowed up Dathan,

and covered the company of Abi'ram.
 And a fire was kindled in their company;

the flame burned up the wicked.
 They made a calf in Horeb,

and worshipped the molten image.
 Thus they changed their glory

into the similitude of an ox that eats grass.
 They forgot God their saviour,

which had done great things in Egypt;
 wondrous works in the land of Ham,

and terrible things by the Red sea.
 Therefore he said that he would destroy them,

had not Moses his chosen stood before him in the breach,
to turn away his wrath, lest he should destroy them.
 Yea, they despised the pleasant land,

they believed not his word:
 but murmured in their tents,

and hearkened not unto the voice of the LORD.
 Therefore he lifted up his hand against them,

to overthrow them in the wilderness:
 to overthrow their seed also among the nations,

and to scatter them in the lands.
 They joined themselves also unto Ba'al–pe'or,

and ate the sacrifices of the dead.
 Thus they provoked him to anger with their inventions:

and the plague broke in upon them.
 Then stood up Phin'ehas, and executed judgment:

and so the plague was stayed.
 And that was counted unto him for righteousness

unto all generations for evermore.
 They angered him also at the waters of strife,

so that it went ill with Moses for their sakes:
 because they provoked his spirit,

so that he spoke unadvisedly with his lips.
 They did not destroy the nations,

concerning whom the LORD commanded them:
 but were mingled among the heathen,

and learned their works.
 And they served their idols:

which were a snare unto them.
 Yea, they sacrificed their sons

and their daughters unto devils,
 and shed innocent blood,

even the blood of their sons and of their daughters,
whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan:
and the land was polluted with blood.
 Thus were they defiled with their own works,

and went a whoring with their own inventions.
 Therefore was the wrath of the LORD kindled against his people,

insomuch that he abhorred his own inheritance.
 And he gave them into the hand of the heathen;

and they that hated them ruled over them.
 Their enemies also oppressed them,

and they were brought into subjection under their hand.
 Many times did he deliver them;

but they provoked him with their counsel,
and were brought low for their iniquity.
 Nevertheless he regarded their affliction,

when he heard their cry:
 and he remembered for them his covenant,

and repented according to the multitude of his mercies.
 He made them also to be pitied

of all those that carried them captives.
 Save us, O LORD our God,

and gather us from among the heathen,
to give thanks unto thy holy name,
and to triumph in thy praise.
 Blessed be the LORD God of Israel

from everlasting to everlasting:
and let all the people say, Amen.
Praise ye the LORD

Psalm 105

 O give thanks unto the LORD;

call upon his name:
make known his deeds among the people.
 Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him:

talk ye of all his wondrous works.
 Glory ye in his holy name:

let the heart of them rejoice
that seek the LORD.
 Seek the LORD, and his strength:

seek his face evermore.
 Remember his marvelous works that he has done;

his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;
 O ye seed of Abraham his servant,

ye children of Jacob his chosen.
 He is the LORD our God:

his judgments are in all the earth.
 He has remembered his covenant for ever,

the word which he commanded to a thousand generations.
 Which covenant he made with Abraham,

and his oath unto Isaac;
 and confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law,

and to Israel for an everlasting covenant:
 saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan,

the lot of your inheritance.
 When they were but a few men in number;

yea, very few, and strangers in it;
 when they went from one nation to another,

from one kingdom to another people;
 he suffered no man to do them wrong:

yea, he reproved kings for their sakes;
 saying, Touch not mine anointed,

and do my prophets no harm.
 Moreover he called for a famine upon the land:

he broke the whole staff of bread.
 He sent a man before them,

even Joseph, who was sold for a servant:
 whose feet they hurt with fetters:

he was laid in iron:
 until the time that his word came:

the word of the LORD tried him.
 The king sent and loosed him;

even the ruler of the people,
and let him go free.
 He made him lord of his house,

and ruler of all his substance:
 to bind his princes at his pleasure;

and teach his senators wisdom.
 Israel also came into Egypt;

and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.
 And he increased his people greatly;

and made them stronger than their enemies.
 He turned their heart to hate his people,

to deal subtilely with his servants.
 He sent Moses his servant;

and Aaron whom he had chosen.
 They showed his signs among them,

and wonders in the land of Ham.
 He sent darkness, and made it dark;

and they rebelled not against his word.
 He turned their waters into blood,

and slew their fish.
 Their land brought forth frogs in abundance,

in the chambers of their kings.
 He spoke, and there came divers sorts of flies,

and lice in all their coasts.
 He gave them hail for rain,

and flaming fire in their land.
 He smote their vines also and their fig trees;

and broke the trees of their coasts.
 He spoke, and the locusts came,

and caterpillars, and that without number,
 and did eat up all the herbs in their land,

and devoured the fruit of their ground.
 He smote also all the firstborn in their land,

the chief of all their strength.
 He brought them forth also with silver and gold:

and there was not one feeble person among their tribes.
 Egypt was glad when they departed:

for the fear of them fell upon them.
 He spread a cloud for a covering;

and fire to give light in the night.
 The people asked, and he brought quails,

and satisfied them with the bread of heaven.
 He opened the rock, and the waters gushed out;

they ran in the dry places like a river.
 For he remembered his holy promise,

and Abraham his servant.
 And he brought forth his people with joy,

and his chosen with gladness:
 and gave them the lands of the heathen:

and they inherited the labour of the people;
 that they might observe his statutes,

and keep his laws.
Praise ye the LORD.

Psalm 104

 Bless the LORD, O my soul.

O LORD my God, thou art very great;
thou art clothed with honor and majesty:
 who covers thyself with light as with a garment:

who stretches out the heavens like a curtain:
 who lays the beams of his chambers in the waters:

who makes the clouds his chariot:
who walks upon the wings of the wind:
 who makes his angels spirits;

his ministers a flaming fire:
 who laid the foundations of the earth,

that it should not be removed for ever.
 You covered it with the deep as with a garment:

the waters stood above the mountains.
 At thy rebuke they fled;

at the voice of thy thunder they hasted away.
 They go up by the mountains;

they go down by the valleys
unto the place which you founded for them.
 You have set a bound that they may not pass over;

that they turn not again to cover the earth.
 He sends the springs into the valleys,

which run among the hills.
 They give drink to every beast of the field:

the wild asses quench their thirst.
 By them shall the fowls of the heaven have their habitation,

which sing among the branches.
 He waters the hills from his chambers:

the earth is satisfied with the fruit of thy works.
 He causes the grass to grow for the cattle,

and herb for the service of man:
that he may bring forth food out of the earth;
 and wine that makes glad the heart of man,

and oil to make his face to shine,
and bread which strengthens man's heart.
 The trees of the LORD are full of sap;

the cedars of Lebanon, which he has planted;
 where the birds make their nests:

as for the stork, the fir trees are her house.
 The high hills are a refuge for the wild goats;

and the rocks for the conies.
 He appointed the moon for seasons:

the sun knows his going down.
 You make darkness, and it is night:

wherein all the beasts of the forest do creep forth.
 The young lions roar after their prey,

and seek their meat from God.
 The sun arises, they gather themselves together,

and lay them down in their dens.
 Man goes forth unto his work

and to his labor until the evening.
 O LORD, how manifold are thy works!

In wisdom hast thou made them all:
the earth is full of thy riches.
 So is this great and wide sea,

wherein are things creeping innumerable,
both small and great beasts.
 There go the ships:

there is that leviathan,
whom you has made to play therein.
 These wait all upon you;

that you may give them their meat in due season.
 That you give them they gather:

you open your hand, they are filled with good.
 You hide your face, they are troubled:

you take away their breath, they die,
and return to their dust.
 You send forth your spirit, they are created:

and you renew the face of the earth.
 The glory of the LORD shall endure for ever:

the LORD shall rejoice in his works.
 He looks on the earth, and it trembles:

he touches the hills, and they smoke.
 I will sing unto the LORD as long as I live:

I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.
 My meditation of him shall be sweet:

I will be glad in the LORD.
 Let the sinners be consumed out of the earth,

and let the wicked be no more.
Bless thou the LORD, O my soul.
Praise ye the LORD.
