Proverbs Chapter 10 11-20

The mouth of a righteous man is a well of life,
but violence covers the mouth of the wicked.
Hatred stirs up strife,
but love covers all sins.
Wisdom is found on the lips of the discerning,
but a rod is for the back of him that lacks judgement.
Wise men store up knowledge,
but the mouth of a fool invites ruin.
The wealth of a city is their fortified city,
but poverty is the ruin of the poor.
The labour of the righteous brings them life,
but the fruit of the wicked brings them punishment.
He is in the way of life that keeps instruction,
but he that refuses reproof errs.
He that hides hatred with lying lips,
and he that utters slander is a fool.
When words are many, sin is not absent,
but he who holds his tongue is wise.
The tongue of the righteous is like choice silver,
but the heart of the wicked is of little value.
